THE SHE-IS MINISTRY STORY:

She is Ministry started as a small community of ladies in China. Our founder, was led to start a small cell group for women. When she arrived in China, a place where Christianity isn’t widely practiced, she wanted to create a supportive community for ladies who desired to grow in their relationship with God. What began as a small group of three ladies blossomed into a full-fledged ministry impacting numerous ladies.

THE FIRST MEETING

The place in the picture is a small dormitory room on a university campus in China where our cell meeting first took place. Here, God began to move in the hearts of many ladies. What started as a modest small group rapidly turned into a thriving community of women meeting weekly on different campuses, all chasing after the heart of God together.

WOMENS CONFERENCE

In April 2018, our founder felt led by God to host a small women’s conference. Initially envisioned for about 20 girls, God’s plans far exceeded expectations, and the conference ended up hosting nearly 200 girls from various nationalities in China. This became the official launch of She is Ministry. Since then, the ministry has continued to grow.

EQUIPPING LEADERS

To ensure the vision could expand and flourish, our founder deliberately discipled eight leaders who shared her passion and commitment. These leaders were equipped to carry the vision of She is Ministry and extend its reach to different campuses, fostering a network of supportive, faith-driven communities.

SHE IS MINISTRY TODAY

Expansion to Tanzania: When our founder returned to her home country, Tanzania, she planned to stay for three weeks. However, due to the pandemic, she ended up staying for three years. During this time, God used the circumstances to further His glory, leading to the establishment of She is Ministry in Tanzania, which is now the head quarters.
